President Joe Biden Visits Los Angeles for Re-Election Campaign Boost

President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden landed in Los Angeles on Saturday for a brief overnight visit, primarily focused on boosting the president’s re-election campaign.

Air Force One arrived at LAX at 3:25 p.m. The first couple was welcomed on the tarmac by Sen. Alex Padilla and Rep. Maxine Waters.

Following the landing, President Biden headed to a campaign meeting in Bel Air, while Jill Biden joined a separate event. The president’s visit aims to engage with supporters and strengthen his political standing in California.

Palestinian Flags on Freeway:

During the motorcade’s journey from Santa Monica Airport to Bel Air, several vehicles displaying large Palestinian flags were observed on the southbound side of the San Diego (405) Freeway.

Passengers in these vehicles were seen waving flags as the motorcade proceeded north. The freeway was not closed to traffic during this time.

Departure and Las Vegas Event:

The Bidens are scheduled to depart from LAX on Sunday and head to Las Vegas for another “political event,” according to the White House.

The visit underscores the administration’s commitment to early campaign efforts before the re-election bid.

The California Republican Party Chairwoman, Jessica Millan Patterson, seized the opportunity to criticize the Biden administration’s policies.

Patterson highlighted issues such as inflation, crime, failing schools, the fentanyl crisis, and homelessness, attributing these challenges to what she referred to as “failed Democrat policies.”

Previous Southland Visit in December:

This visit follows the Bidens’ previous trip to the Southland in early December, where they attended fundraising events and participated in a shiva ceremony at the residence of Lyn and Norman Lear.

The visit signifies the ongoing engagement of the administration with California, a critical state in national politics.
