A fatal two-vehicle crash occurred in North Hollywood early Saturday morning, resulting in the death of a 25-year-old woman and the hospitalization of another driver.
The Los Angeles Police Department reported that a car and a pickup truck collided at the intersection of Tujunga Boulevard and Sherman Way.
North Hollywood Resident Killed:
The deceased woman, identified as a resident of North Hollywood, tragically lost her life at the scene of the accident, according to an LAPD spokesperson speaking to ABC7. The driver of the pickup truck, a 28-year-old man, sustained “minor-to-moderate” injuries and was transported to Providence Holy Cross Medical Center for treatment.
Authorities are investigating the possibility of the crash, with initial suspicions pointing towards a potential red light violation by one of the involved parties.
While the pickup truck driver is not supposed to drive under the influence (DUI), he is cooperating with law enforcement officials as they gather information to determine the exact sequence of events leading to the collision.
