Despite the request, it remains unclear when law enforcement will intervene to dismantle the encampment. Hours after the warning was issued, the encampment persisted, highlighting the ongoing standoff between protesters and university officials.
USC President Ensures Safe Academic Environment Amidst Tensions:
Amidst heightened tensions on campus, USC President Carol Folt reassured students of a quiet and safe academic environment to complete finals and celebrate commencement. Folt emphasized the importance of upholding university policies and condemned any disruptions to campus activities.
Folt took a firm stance against disruptive behavior, emphasizing the boundaries of free speech and assembly. She also stressed the need to respect equal access to campus and prevent harassment, violence, and property damage. She warned of consequences for those violating university regulations.

As part of its proactive approach to security, USC has implemented updated campus-entry procedures and heightened security measures. The university remains steadfast in its commitment to maintaining a secure environment amidst ongoing protests and tensions related to the conflict in Gaza.
In response to the disruption caused by protests, USC unveiled plans for a “Trojan Family Graduate Celebration” at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. This event aims to provide graduate students a peaceful and celebratory alternative to the canceled main-stage commencement ceremony.
