One Dead, Another Critically Injured in Kansas City, Kansas

Kansas City, Kansas, police were called to the scene of a double shooting on Tuesday evening, where one person was killed and another left critically injured. The incident occurred at North 18th Street and Parallel Parkway around 6:15 p.m.

Details of the Kanas City Incident:

Officer Jovanna Cheatum of KCKPD stated that officers were dispatched following reports of shots fired. Upon arrival, they discovered a man with gunshot wounds, who was shifted to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. Another male victim was found deceased at the scene.

The police department’s Major Case Unit has taken over the investigation into the double shooting. No further details regarding the victims or potential suspects have been released.

The fatal shooting marks the second homicide in Kansas City, Kansas, this year. Just days prior, on Saturday, another shooting claimed the life of 42-year-old Peter Long at the Southridge Apartments. A suspect is presently in custody in connection with that incident.
