Despite USC’s valiant effort, UConn maintained control throughout the game, securing an 80-73 victory. The Huskies held a 12-point lead at one stage but faced a fierce comeback from the Trojans in the fourth quarter.

Despite the loss, USC’s JuJu Watkins showcased her skills with an impressive stat line of 29 points, ten rebounds, two assists, two blocks, and a steal. Watkins’ exceptional performance was not enough to overcome UConn’s relentless attack.
Trojans’ Championship Drought Continues:
With the defeat, USC’s quest for a national championship remains unfulfilled, extending its drought since its last title in 1984. Despite its strong showing throughout the tournament, the Trojans fell short of capturing the coveted title once again.
UConn’s victory propels them to the Final Four, where they will face No. 1 Iowa in a highly anticipated matchup on Friday, April 5. With their sights set on the championship, the Huskies will look to continue their impressive run and vie for another NCAA title.
